Local Taste™ Bloody Mary App

Local Taste™ is a fun, internal project that we can’t get enough of.

The Local Taste™ Bloody Mary App matches users to their best Bloody Mary based upon a user created taste profile. We like to say, “Ditch ratings and get matched to your perfect Bloody Mary!”

The idea for Local Taste™ came to us while we were brunching. At counterspace we all love to get together for brunch, but we were always disappointed in the quality of the Bloody Marys. Always the design thinkers, we set out to solve this problem with a mobile app.

The problem, as we defined it, was that traditional review sites like Yelp, Trip Advisor and Open Table, are subjective to each reviewers experiences and preferences. Thus, a five star system really does not work. Especially for the world’s more complex cocktail, the Bloody Mary.

We developed wireframes and a working prototype to test the market and refine the app before going into the final build. To support the app, we designed and developed a website and implemented a social media strategy. The iOS mobile App is available in the App store.

Sketching

We sketch for a living, and sketching takes place when inspiration hits. We sketched out the entire application on bar napkins, while drinking Bloody Marys!
