Flash design for an interactive tool
Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books and products for children. They offer comprehensive online tools for teachers, children and parents. Scholastic wanted to create an interactive educational tool to teach users about The Underground Railroad. This tool is primarily utilized by it target audience, teachers and students of grades 4 – 12 studying Slavery, The Underground Railroad, Abolitionists & the Civil War.
The project required a research element during our discovery stage that allowed us to work with university professors and experts from around the country. The Technology requirements demanded that the site be built in Flash and html. Upon launch, this interactive website generated more traffic than anyone could have anticipated, which speaks for itself as to the level of success. To date, the site is one of Scholastic’s most popular applications.
