We were tasked with creating an updated identity for the Columbia Neurosurgeons of New Jersey, in conjunction with Mokamedia, who led the larger overall project. They were in the middle of changing their name and wanted to update their identity to reflect the organization.
We began by researching neurology and simplifying different complex images of the spine, brain and neurons.
The project went through multiple rounds of review and changes with the client, but over the course of the project the direction of the logo changed introduce a mix of a spine shapes from earlier rounds into in the shape of New Jersey.
In the end the client discovered that they were not allowed to change the name in the way they wanted and the logo was not utilized. A great study of marks however.
